Why wood?
Plastic boards are everywhere. They're also hard on knife edges, harbour bacteria in cut grooves, and end up in landfill within a year. A well-made wood or bamboo board does none of those things. It's gentler on your knives, naturally antibacterial, and — with basic care — will outlast every plastic board you've ever owned.
End-grain walnut develops a patina over time. Acacia gets more beautiful with age. These are objects worth owning.
Why knives?
A great cutting board paired with a dull knife is still a frustrating experience. We added knives to our collection for one reason: a sharp, well-balanced blade transforms the act of cooking. Everything becomes faster, safer, and more enjoyable.
